ACH Direct Launches Educational Program For Merchants
ACH Direct is hosting a series of monthly educational teleseminars exclusively for merchants, designed to provide essential information about Automated Clearing House (ACH) electronic payments. These events are a value-added benefit of being a customer of ACH Direct and are provided at no cost to our merchants.
Called “Demystifying ACH,” the educational series focuses on topics that are of interest to our customers, such as important regulatory requirements. The content for each teleseminar is being developed and delivered by training professionals from SWACHA - The Electronic Payments Resource, who hold the prestigious Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation. The first teleseminar, called “What Every Originator Needs to Know About Customer Authorization,” was held on June 27, with full attendance and a lively question and answer session.
Each teleseminar takes place from 1-2:30 p.m. Central Time, allowing time for participants to ask questions. The schedule is as follows:
- July 18: Authorization Requirements for WEB Transactions
- August 22: Authorization Requirements for TEL Transactions
- September 19: Exception Processing and Return Transactions
- October 10: Audit Requirements for Originators
- November 14: ACH Rules and Regulatory Compliance
Space is limited, so merchants interested in participating are encouraged to sign up at their earliest convenience on ACH Direct's Web site.
