ACH Direct’s SoftTerminal is a Windows-based application that eliminates the need for costly hardware-based terminals to process your check, credit card and debit card transactions.
There's no need to wait for approvals. SoftTerminal uses a high-speed encrypted Internet link to process your transactions – usually well under six seconds. Typical hardware-based terminals require waiting for a dial tone, dialing out to the processing host, waiting for the host to pick up, communicating with the host (typically @ 300 baud), transmitting the transaction information and then waiting for the approval.
SoftTerminal is a software-based credit/debit card terminal which:
